Attributes
Orna is God of the Earth and can control the elements of Besan Gretan. Orna used these powers to form many planets, including Ilmgral and Earth. When Orna appears to mortals, he is a giant, with bushy brown hair and a beard. His face is said to be rodent like and he is often dressed for a long days work.
History
Pre-life
Orna was born from the sacrifice of Livella, when she plunged her hand with one of her most favourite stars. Being created from that imploding star, allowed Orna to control the newly formed elements and fashion them into worlds.
Together Livella and Orna re-shaped the universe, creating vast solar systems of planets, some of rock, others swirling giants of gas. Livella though, pained by her injuries, fled Besan Gretan. Wishing to bring her back, Orna fashioned Ilmgral as a gift. Livella loved it but knew that life could not yet come to these worlds. A vision came to Orna of water and rain and flowing rivers and yet he could not create this. In his imagining the rock of Ilmgral’s surface cracked and great rivers of molten rock formed.
Livella grabbed a tear that she had shed at her wounding and placing it within Ilmgral’s core, the molten rock cooled and water sprang up from hidden springs and the first rain drops fell in the universe. Sea’s formed but there was no warmth to guide them and the seas froze as soon as they were formed. Livella grabbed a star and warmed the oceans, where Thera, God of the sea awakened.
When Thera split the sea, Orna took two mountains from its depth. One like silver and one a dusk red. Orna fashioned these into Ilmgral’s moons and set them in orbit around Ilmgral.
Together the three Gods of Besan Gretan worked in harmony to builds habitable planets for life to begin.
The Council of Gadrika
Gadrika, God of Life, saw the power of Orna as the greatest threat to his new lifeforms. Knowing that the Gods will need representatives on Ilmgral, he called his Gods to Agraldin. There they were bidden to pick their champion.
As usual Livella and Orna went together and they picked champions who grew as close kin within Agraldin. Though Livella feared that it would be against Orna’s creation’s that her champion would die. Knowing his champion would have to return that debt, they worked close bonds between them and Orna departed to wait for Crio, his champion, to be born upon Ilmgral.
The Raising of the Dividing Mountains.
After Camara unleashed her rage upon the people of Dragor, and Crio lead the people South. Orna appeared to Crio and fastened a chain around the earth. With Crio’s help they used the chain to rise the dividing mountains and in the process trapping much of Camara’s power within.
