Attributes
Morelin is of the Ilma and can control most elements. He is considered to be average in all his elemental gifts but it is his strategic mind and battle prowess that makes him stand out.
He is tall and noble, a true descendant of Mina. His hair is silver blonde, with red scales that kiss the bottom of his eyes.
History
Morelin was always born to do great things. Morelin excelled in his studies, becoming a great lore master and warrior at an early age. Under the care of his cousin, Anglin , the king of Krun Melkin, Morelin grew in great renown. Sensing this Anglin sent Morelin across the sea, to gain favour with the other lords. In this time Morelin would ride with Suda Drage and his company, seeing much of the land.
Morelin returned home when his father became ill and could no longer rule. He became lord of Minagrin but did not marry, still feeling young and wishing to explore.
Disquiet grew in the world and Anglin wanted a spy amongst the Krunilma. He sent Morelin to be the guardian of winter. To watch over the Krunilma as they slumbered through winter. While travelling, Morelin met Lucarnia Bitaran, daughter of the wood king and fell madly in love. Lucarnia was an evergreen and did not slumber, so Morelin and her spent all winter together. The King, Nargir, soon learn that Morelin was spying. One of Morelin’s companions was killed, the other Dorel, fled to the north.
Morelin was imprisoned in the highest branch of Elmlin. There Lucarnia confessed her love for him. Anglin, outraged by his cousins imprisonment, brought a host to burn the forest. Nargir, sensing no victory allowed Morelin to go but part of the deal saw Lucarnia betrothed to Anglin.
It would be an unhappy marriage and Morelin would grow unhappy seeing it. Before long he was summoned to the wood and in a glade he and Lucarnia became one but he was found by Anglin and banished by the king.
Morelin went to the North and regrouped with Dorel, becoming the leader of a group of outlaws. This would soon become a great army, that rode under Morelin’s rose banner.
In the night, a dream came to Morelin, of Lucarnia imprisoned in a tower. Fearing nothing Morelin went to rescue her. He found her in her chamber, with a boy at her side. Morelin’s son. Anglin soon appeared, revealing the dream to have be a rouse to lure Morelin there. Agral came, and took Lucarnia, imprisoning her on Aradtoria, the dusk moon.
Morelin begged for Lucarnia back and Anglin advised that he would do soo once all his enemies had defeated, since without Morelin, the realm had fallen into chaos.
One by one, Morelin fought Anglin’s enemies, defeating them all, until only one remained. On the night before, Morelin asked Anglin if he would keep his side of the bargain but Agral whispered words in Anglin’s ears and came to Dorel, putting the fear of the devil into him. Morelin was poisoned and weakened during the battle so even as he found victory, he was mortally wounded.
Dorel repented and Krim came. He pulled Morelin’s soul and gave it to Umoria, making him the vassal of that moon so that the pair could be reunited in the sky.
Anglin hated this and worked to hold Morelin in place while Lucarnia drifted away. Now Morelin and Lucarnia are nearly always separated in the sky.
