History
Crio was born seemingly from the earth itself. He was found and raised by the nomadic people of the midlands between Cambane and Scaraden. During this time unrest plagued the southern land and they hunted viciously for the next Vassal to be born.
Fearing this, Crio left his people and wandered north. On a cold winter day he came across a caravan of travellers. There he fell into the company of Bela wife of the Vassal Drage and his grandsons. Knowing him for what he was, Crio was taken into the care of the sons of Drage, thus renewing the friendship that had started in Agraldin.
During his time with the people of Drage, Crio built the great lighthouse at Amoradrage and the black keep within the city of Dragor. He married and had many children. Through his knowledge of forging, the strength of Dragor grew. Greedy, the lord of Dragor looked to expand his borders and in doing so killed the last son of Camara.
In her rage Camara brought a huge storm that froze the north. Many people died and Crio fled southward with the host of Dragor. This host soon grew as the violent storm followed them. As they came to the middle lands, the nomadic people joined them too. Beneath his feet Crio felt a great power. As Crio lead the people into Scaraden he advised Dusan Drage that he must turn back.
Crio came back to the middle lands where Orna himself emerged from the earth. He wound a great chain between Crio and the earth and together they raised the dividing mountains, trapping some of Camara’s power within. Through all the labours, crio thought of his people. The mountains came already fashioned with great cities and walkways, including a bridge spanning a great valley. In these mountains jewels and precious metals would sustain his children.
Aged beyond reckoning Crio waited and soon the host of Dragor emerged and he bid farewell to Dusan before dying within his peaks. He was buried there and the new lands of the dividing mountains were given to the rule of his children, creating ever lasting friendship between the people of Drage and Crio.
