Attributes
Agral was born as one of a twin. He was born to heal and to take pain away from those who were suffering. He took the power though and horded it and gave disease to the world. He became the vassal of death. Once dead, he became the guardian of wicked souls, and set them to heal the hurts of the world but he did this grudgingly.
Agral always looked sickly. His white skin is haggard, almost rotting. His eyes are as black as the night, and he always carries a wicked sneer. In death he wears chain mail and a broken sword hilt strapped to his waist.
History
Agral was born of one of a twin. He was sickly from birth but his brother, Krim, was beautiful. As they grew people came to revere Krim but feared Agral. Jealous, he struck out at his brother, who fell into a coma. Anger and regret made Agral kill the fish and whither the plants. When Krim woke up the hurt was healed but the damage was done.
Krim was whisked away and Agral grew in solitude. With that solitude his resentment grew ever greater. He healed people, as was his cause but he took the disease and horded it, until he could give it to those who displeased him.
Late into his teenage years, a group of nobles wanted rid of Agral. Coming to his chamber at night, they tried to assassinate him. Agral was not to be caught and he killed them on the spot. Tapping into his powers, Agral entered Agraldin and took on a dark cesspit of power that Gadrika had buried. When he returned he was a Vassal of Death. He took the souls of the would-be assassins and locked them to the tower, binding them forever to Besan Gretan.
Then Agral fled to Scaraden, to find his brother. He was shocked and touched when Krim welcomed him lovingly but Agral’s jealousy had not abated with his solitude. Seeing Krim’s wife and kids, he was filled with envy. He tried to take Krim’s wife and she died in his arms. Krim fled and Agral set to work securing his future.
Agral sired many children and grew in influence in Scaraden, killing those who opposed him until he became the most powerful lord in the land, with his children infesting every court. He had a great four towered church, erected in his glory and in this time he began to raise armies of the dead, in spite of Gadrika.
Soon an army was raised against him and Agral met his brother on the battlefield. Their two powers fought and for a time, Agral was shown as something beautiful, a true vassal of Gadrika. The thought angered him and he drove his sword through his brothers chest, the sword breaking at the hilt.
The cloak of Gadrika came and lay across Krim’s body and when Agral removed it, his brother was gone and he knew in his heart that his brother had passed into Gadrika’s service. Agral took up the broken sword hilt and wore it ever after.
Agral continued to grow in strength but the diseases he hoarded were slowly killing him. It was not long before Krun, son of Krim, came to his door. It was not Krun who killed him though but Krim and Agral was given part of the cloak of Gadrika, his blood staining it black. Then Agral left to serve Gadrika but he always bent power to his own will.
War of the Dividing Mountains
During the war of the Dividing mountains, when his descendant whispered in the ears of the Lord of Scaraden, Agral set to destroying the lines of the other Vassal’s. He caught Suda in a dark pledge and in doing so, bound the children of Drage to Besan Gretan, never to enter heaven until his four towered church was cast down.
Sundering of the Two Moons.
During the events of the Sundering of the Two Moons, Agral learnt he could enter the minds of people, infesting them with his dark thoughts, and making them do his bidding. Using this, he entered into the mind of Anglin Diactra, heir of Mina. He wished to tear his brothers family apart, since his own children had been unable to. He put jealousy and paranoia in Anglin’s mind and set him to thoughts of conquest.
It was Agral who gave Anglin the strength to separate Lucarnia’s soul and bind it to the moon, Aradtoria. When Morelin was almost complete in his task, Agral whispered in Anglin’s ears that he would seek to usurp the kingship. Agral put the fear into Dorel, who administered the poison which killed Morelin.
Agral was defeated though by his brother and in the union of Morelin and Lucarnia, that Agral could not stop, the Ilma’s salvation was sown.
Knights of Earth Saga
After the coming of the Gift and the defeat of his darkness, Agral turned his eyes towards Earth. He had used it to form the darkness but that meddling had forced the experiments that led to Halves. Humanity had always been a footnote in the universe and worth nothing but to upset Thera. His mistress Livella, did not trust humanity, and the growing number of halves, and thought they may be the key to the Gods usurping.
So she sent Agral to begin the destruction of the halves and hoped in the process to restart the war between Ilmgral and Abgdon. Agral set the work seeding madness into the current Ambassador of Ilmgral on Earth. In a rage, the ambassador began killing halves, in the hope to drive them into the open and start a civil war on the planet.
With the meddling of the Tempter, the ambassador was released from the spell and fleeing, he left his young son, reskinned as a human, to live among them.
Agral now feared the power of halves and the Tempter. He decided that getting Halve’s to be noticed would make the non-powered humans hunt them to extinction as had happened on the great continent.
To do this, he entered into the mind of Dr Alexander Harper, a paranormal investigator. The mind of Harper was stronger though and he broke out of Agral’s spell before the corruption could truly take route.
At this time, Livella was growing even more impatient for the destruction of the Ilma and she sort of someway to destroy the gift. Agral began to consider that the Ilma, imprisoned on Earth, could serve this purpose.
He entered into the mind of Hannah Brown, to have a Halve under his sway. During this time, Urgarak, a graul from Uralese, found the darkness and swore allegiance to Agral.
Agral called the Tempter into Besan Gretan and warned him not to continue to meddle with his Knights of Earth, though part of Agral wished for it for he saw in Thomas Lita the seed of his father’s corruption and viewed in the tapestry the melding of the gift and the darkness into a great weapon.
Agral learnt of the location of Cirtroug, an Abgdonese war criminal who had wielded the darkness for years, now imprisoned on the volcanic island of Curamber. With this, Agral was ready to move his pieces. Urgarak would take a ship to earth while Hannah would release Cirtroug. Cirtroug would conquer the planet with Urgarak’s help and turn the halves over to the side of Abgdon.
The Tempter moved first however and sent Thomas Lita, who trapped Cirtroug again. Agral set vengeance in Urgarak’s heart, who invaded Earth. Although he was defeated, Thomas Lita and the halves were dragged into the light, adding to growing tension on Earth. Agral then manoeuvred Hannah into position by Thomas Lita, removing himself whenever Tom was around to make sure Hannah tried to stay close. When Hannah’s pain and grief was enough to make her weak, he kidnapped her and filled her with the darkness. She would be his next greatest weapon, set to tear the Knights of Earth apart, and bring war to the universe.
