Story Excerpt:
Cirtroug turned, anger and fear for the first time showing truly in his eyes. Tom lifted the flaming root and it cracked in the air like a whip. He launched it at Cirtroug, who dived out the way, embers flying into the air as the root struck. Tom let it fly again and this time as Cirtroug dived, he pulled lava from the lake. As it came to him it turned to solid black stone and sharpened into a blade. He stood and the pair faced eachother. Tom sent the root flying again, but Cirtroug was quicker. He flew out the way, swinging the blade that cut the root in two. It turned to ash in Tom’s hand and again he was at a loss.
