Knights of Earth The Sundering of the Two moons

Character profile- Gadrika

The Sundering of the Two Moons.

Name: Gadrika
Age: N/A
Species: God
First Appearance: The History of Ilmgral: Book One. The Sundering of the Two Moons
Power: Gadrika is the bringer of life and guardian of the Flame of existence. He governs the halls of Agraldin where the flame breeds new souls that he nurtures. Through him life is sustained and restored in Besan Gretan.

Appearance: Gadrika usually appears robed in and hooded. His face does not look like any creature that has ever walked or will walk in Besan Gretan but he can make himself into any creature of the universe.
Backstory: Gadrika was born when Agraldin as created and the power of the Gods that came before went into the flame of existence. He resides always in the hall of nurturing and in the halls where the tapestry is woven by those who have died. Story Excerpt: “Do not despair light maiden.” Said a voice and before her walked the figure from Agraldin but he was no longer cloaked. He was garbed in cloth that changed colour as he moved. At times it was a vibrant green, at others the dark red of dusk and even at times as though he was dressed in the night sky. His face bore no relation to the creatures that would come after or maybe he was all of them, but Livella only saw a mirror of the Gods, vibrant eyes full of knowledge and a face flawless, cast in the same shadow of Agraldin.
“Gadrika I am named.” He said at Livella’s shocked glance, “I come from the realm of spirit and in my halls, I nurture and preserve a balance for the universe, to see it steered to proper course. That requires life and life I gift to Besan Gretan with my flame so that all our realms may grow more beautiful, and we can finally achieve what all those who came before us failed at.” His form seemed to shift, and he became then one of the Ilma, tall and magnificent, with golden eyes and no red scales, “In me all life shall live in Besan Gretan, but they shall be free of will, guided by the tapestry of those who came before. Here on this world will come the Ilma and they will be as children of you and in them your image will be seen. They also will have power, power to control their will and though we be Gods, we will be subject to them and to them will the dominion of Besan Gretan be granted. They will see it rise to proper station, protected from the greed and taint of those who are immortal” Gadrika smiled, and he grew shorter, and red scales now covered his cheeks, “With them shall be the Graul, the servant race. Like the vassals shall be to us so shall be the Graul to the Ilma and they will serve them in all their endeavours.”

Character Profile – Thera

Available as E-book and Paper back in the Amazon store. Check it out below.

The Sundering of the Two Moons.

Name: Thera
Age: N/A
Species: God
First Appearance: The History of Ilmgral: Book One. The Sundering of the Two Moons
Power: Thera has the power to control all the waters of the universe. From the smallest raindrop, the largest ocean. All sea creatures answer to him and he is the most besotted with Besan Gretan.

Appearance: Thera appears human like apart from that his skin glimmers like fish scales. His hair is the colour of seaweed and his eyes are crystal blue.
Backstory: Thera was born from the tear of Livella and the power Orna gave to Ilmgral. He helped provide the base for life to begin. He rarely ever leaves Besan Gretan for either of the other two realms, unless called at great need. Story Excerpt:

It glowed for a second and then the rivers of molten rock were calmed and from fissures great oceans formed. Clouds lifted above the world and the first raindrops fell in gentle tears onto the mountains. Water flowed into great bowls of the earth that overflowed and ran in many streams and rivers back to the sea.
The amazement of Livella and Orna was great, but Livella moved, and her radiance was veiled so that the oceans froze, the rivers became glaciers and the voices of Agraldin lamented. At their call, a fist hammered under the frozen ocean.
Livella moved quickly and she pulled towards her a star and Orna placed Ilmgral in orbit around it and set it to turn so that equally the heat of her star could fall upon it. The oceans thawed and rivers flowed again.
From the great sea a figure rose in splendour. He was tall and nimble, with a skin partly like scales of fish that mirror him. His eyes were blue with hints of green and he regarded his parents with love, “You have given life to me from your sacrifice’s and from me the beginnings of life shall come. They will need guiding by starlight and moonlight.”  Thera, they named him, and he parted the sea at his feet and revealed a mountain like a red sunset and another of silver. These Orna took and he shaped them and placed them as moons over the planet like silent guardians to move the tides and aid with the nurturing of life.

Character Profile – Orna

Available as E-book or paperback below.

The Sundering of the Two Moons

Name: Orna
Age: N/A
Species: God
First Appearance: The History of Ilmgral: Book One. The Sundering of the Two Moons
Power: Orna is God of the earth. Being born from a dieing star, means he can control the elements created during the cosmic explosions. Orna assembled the dusts of the universe after Livella’ sacrifice into the first planets.

Appearance: When Orna appears to Mortal, he appears as a giant of a man, with bushy brown hair and a huge beard. He is often dressed for toil. His face resembles that of the Murka’s, who he first thought into the tapestry woven in Agraldin
Backstory: Orna was born from the greatest star Livella ever formed. When she thrust her hand into the star, giving a sacrifice, Orna was born from the power of Livinden and her sacrifice. He helped form the first planets and fashioned Ilmgral as a present for Livella. Story Excerpt:

He was grey of skin, with coarse hair covering him but his hands were stone and veins of ore glittered across his body in the light of the stars that remained. Livella came to the child and words of the mortals named him Orna and she nurtured him. Quickly he grew and the elements of the destroyed stars became his plaything and together Livella and Orna began to re-order the universe. From her lost stars, she fashioned new ones. These were smaller and less majestic, for her sacrificed stopped her from pulling anymore light from Livinden. Around these lesser stars, Orna formed planets. Worlds of swirling rock he formed, or giants of gas that nurtured great storms. Again, the voices of Agraldin sang in a majestic tone for the glory of the Gods and their creations but still no life came.
Soon Livella became weary of the realm that is as she felt no love now that her stars had been destroyed and she returned to Livinden, but Orna could not linger long in that realm of light. He was born in Besan Gretan, and he was bound to it. Orna now loved Livella, and he wished to ease her hurt and so coming to the area of his birth, he collected the remnants of the star that birthed him and formed a new world. All his power he poured into Ilmgral, and he fashioned continents for the coming of life and dreamt of great oceans where life would start but this thing he could not create. In the attempt, he formed rivers of molten rock and the world became a mass of flames and poisonous fumes that spread to many of his creations, and he roared in his anger.

Character profile – Livella Remain

The Sundering of the Two Moons Available Now.

Name: Livella Remain
Age: N/A
Species: God
First Appearance: The History of Ilmgral: Book One. The Sundering of the Two Moons
Power: Livella Remain is the god of light and the stars. She comes from the realm of Livinden and she uses the power of Livinden to keep the realm that is, Besan Gretan, moving. Since she was wounded she can no longer use her power to create stars but ever she guides the galaxies to keep the universe in balance.

Appearance: When Livella descends to come among the living she appears like on of the Ilma though her skin carries hints of yellow. She has blonde hair and often dresses in green silks. Her right arm is missing just below the shoulder and this keeps shrouded.
Backstory: Livella Remain was born from the creation of the three plains of existence. She was born in Livinden, the realm of light, and light is her power. Soon she wandered into Besan Gretan, the world that is, and took physical form. In this empty space she created the stars and set the seeds for life. Story Excerpt:

Travelling back to Ilmgral, as was her want, Livella beheld a planet grown green and the oceans brought forth rain that sustained things that now grew upon the soil. Slowly she descended and she came to a point where two rivers met and beheld a forest around her, and that forest glowed with her presence. At her feet flowers of red and blue bloomed, basking in the light of her sun. She stayed there, and watched, as the sun of her making became colder and the leaves turned to silver grey and fell to litter the floor, while the flowers withered and died at her feet. Livella despaired, feeling that these things had died in just a second of her mind, whereas the things of her creation lasted years beyond counting and in Livinden, nothing perished.
Her despair was ill-founded, for in the next second the trees began to bud, and flowers grew anew from the canopy of fallen leaves and the sun came again to full strength. So beautiful was the decay and re-birth that filled Besan Gretan, that Livella’s heart was moved even greater by the voices of Agraldin. Voices of those who wished to touch the realm that is for whatever short time was allotted to them and her immortality became a frightening thing, “They wish for the gift of mortality now.” Livella said to a budding red flower, “But soon they will wish for more time and that I cannot give them.”

The Sundering of the Two Moons- An Expansion

OUT NOW AS KINDLE E-BOOK OR PAPERBACK THROUGH THE AMAZON STORE.

The Ilma are mentioned in Knowledge Lost but who are they? An Alien race, some good, some evil? Immortals who have great knowledge of the universe? What is their curse and why do they consider themselves the chosen people of the Universe? Who are the Graul? The servant race, now some of the most powerful beings in Besan Gretan?  Briefly is the history and beliefs of the Ilma hinted at in the Knights of Earth saga, yet it is a rich history, full of tragedy, deceit, and the corruption of power. A story of the long defeat. How those chosen to be the wardens of the Gods, become vengeful Gods in their own right.

The Sundering of the Two moons
is the first part of the History of Ilmgral. In this book series I will bring you the long tapestry that saw the Ilma rise to absolute power and be cursed by it. This history is told in short stories of various styles, giving an in-depth outlook into the history of Ilmgral, like the Silmarillion never could for Middle earth.

The Sundering of the Two moons, focuses on the earliest years of Ilmgral and consists of four stories:

The Beginnings of the Universe are told in the book: The Holy Quadrant. Here the three plains of existence are explained, along with the coming of the Vassals and the immense powers given to the Ilma, with their place as custodians explained.

Notes as both squire and Lord- Follows Bruska Crud, one of the Ilma as he navigates becoming a squire to one of the greatest warriors of the time, Selosa Aquitex. He witnessed some of the key events of the middle years of the Age of Vassals, including the battle of the crossroads and the burning of Fasurasuta.

The War of the Dividing Mountains- Newly come into his Lordship, Suda Drage, relation of the Vassal Drage Livella, must defend his home from the Kingdom of Scaraden. This story, though thousands of years before the events of the Knights of Earth Saga, ties in the most of all these tales, for it is the Pledge of Suda Drage that lingered as a dark shadow over the Ilma in all their many wars and would eventually bring war to Earth, until one from the Dragor would realm would do war upon Scaraden again.

The Sundering of the Two moons- This tells the story of Morelin, a high lord of the Ilma and Lucarnia, daughter of the wood king, an evergreen of the Krun-ilma, as their love and betrayal of their duties, eventually tears the celestial bodies of Ilmgral apart.

The Holy Quadrant.

THE SUNDERING OF THE TWO MOONS OUT NOW!!!

“Two understand creation is to understand the stars, the mountains, the sea and the creatures that look and marvel at these. Two understand creation, is to understand the will of the Gods.” Quote from the book of Livella by Drage Livella.

The first story of the Sundering of the Two moons focuses on the creation of the universe and the forming of the three plains. Livinden, the realm of Light. Besan Gretan, the realm that is and Agraldin, the realm of souls.
It tells of the coming of Livella the light maiden into Besan Gretan and how her sacrifice led the creation of the worlds and the seas.

In this first story, the descriptions of the four Gods of the Holy Quadrant are described and the great deeds done by their vassals are explained. From Drage destroying the great demon of the North and Crio rising the dividing mountains to stop the storm of Camara.

It is an easy introduction into the History of Ilmgral series, telling the mythology and beliefs of Ilmgral, only hinted at in the Knights of Earth Saga.

Excerpt from the Sundering of the Two Moons Book 4

AVAILABLE AS KINDLE E-BOOK AND PAPERBACK THROUGH THE AMAZON STORE.

A wind that seemed to carry words between the trees. He listened more carefully, there were words on the wind. Morelin walked towards the sound and the words grew in their clarity. He stepped towards a clearing and gasped. Beneath the dusk moon, a woman sat, singing to the ground, as vibrant blood red flowers bloomed at her words. Morelin, like all the Ilma, could speak to plants and command them to grow. It was the only part of his power that had been bestowed by Gadrika when the gift of the Ilma had been forged, yet he used it little. Morelin was a warrior, he needed his powers to be a weapon.
He stood in the shadow of the trees, watching her as she worked.
From that moment the doom of Morelin was locked and the greatest tragedy of the Ilma’s youth was set in motion. He had heard rumours of Lucarnia and had seen her once as a child but in her womanhood, no story could convey her beauty. Her skin absorbed the red light of the moon and gave it back in greater beauty. Un-like Morelin, she had no red scales but instead lines like roots came down from her eyes and clung delicately all the way down her cheeks. She was slender like a flower in spring, but Morelin could feel the strength of the trees in her.
A wind rose around Morelin and seemed to flutter around Lucarnia. He watched as a smile crept onto her lips. She sang again and a beautiful red flower bloomed. Her gaze fell suddenly towards him, “Come out fair lord and bask in the light. Umoria will soon come across the glade and their light will mix. Come and see the flowers, you are upsetting the trees.”
Nervously Morelin stepped into the glade. He bowed slightly; his hand pressed against his forehead. She did the same, “Hail lord of the Ilma.” Her eyes went to the silver flower pin on his shoulder, “You are of the house of Mina?”
Morelin stared into her piercing green eyes that seemed so strange from the golden irises he was used to, “I am Morelin Diactra.” He said in a shaking voice, “From the town of Minagrin.”
“It is a pleasure.” She said as she turned back towards the flowers.
“You must be Lucarnia Bitaran, daughter of the wood king.”
She nodded and Morelin stepped closer to her and as he did, Umoria moved across the sky and gave its silver light to the clearing and it mingled, as she had said, with the light of Aradtoria.
“Tell me wood daughter, how did you know I was here?” He asked.
“You said it in the name you give me. We who live in the wood, hear the trees and many do not like the hearts of the Ilma, who chop them down for their machines of war.” She laughed like it was some joke, but Morelin hesitantly looked towards the trees, his power reaching out to silence the wind that blew through them. His eyes then went down to the flower, “This is livora.” He said, “That grows only on the lands where the kin of Drage have lived.”
She looked up at him, taking in the lines of his face, “It was sent over by my family who reside over the ocean. It does not like our soil so I must force it to grow.” She pulled a seed from the top of one of the flowers and placed it in Morelin’s hand, “Perhaps you could grow them in your garden my lord.”
